Unlike other breeds, these dogs are born by c-section due to the size of their heads verses the size of their pelvises. Being born by c-section is very costly for a breeder, but much safer for the puppies and the bitch.

Why is there such a price difference between a Boston found in the paper and the one bought from a registered breeder? You might say to yourself "I only want to buy a pet not a fancy show dog, so why pay double from a breeder?"

Breeders have years of experience with this breed specifically and with the goal in mind of producing beautiful, structurally sound, healthy dogs. Boston Terriers are prone to several different health issues that should be taken very seriously, such as Cataracts along with other eye issues, Luxating Patellas, Demodex and Allergies, Air Patency defects ( such as pinched nostrals and elongated soft palates which keeps the dog from breathing properly ) Heart Defects and Seizures.

I personally have all of my breeding dogs certified by an approved veterinarian/specialist for all of these issues listed above. We have also started doing DNA testing for Juvinile Cataracts to ensure that all breedings dogs are clear before they are ever bred. I do everything possible to ensure that when you buy a puppy from me, you are going to have a wonderful, well tempered, beautiful family member for years to come.
